As a GSDE volunteer program participant or traveler, including, but not limited to participation on the program is contingent upon understanding and agreement to uphold the following Terms and Conditions.
"I" refers to the person signing the GSDE volunteer vacation program application, who will be participating on the GSDE volunteer, expedition or learning adventure program.
I fully understand and accept that:
1. By signing the GSDE volunteer program application, I agree to accept all Terms and Conditions as outlined by GSDE;
2. Participation is voluntary, but I am making a commitment to participate to the best of my ability. I will be prepared to share time, skills and energy individually or with the group to make the program a success. I understand that to share life intensively with strangers for a short term requires plenty of common sense, patience, compromise and above all, a sense of humour;
3. I must arrange and pay for travel, a passport, and visas (if required) myself - these costs are NOT covered by the program fee;
4. At least two meals a day and accommodation are provided during the program, I must bring my own spending money for leisure activities and all other personal expenses;
5. In order to prepare for the volunteer program, I must read ALL the program information provided to me when my placement is confirmed.
6. I will be the guest of the local community, family and hosting partner organization; you will be expected to behave in a manner consistent with the laws and customs of the host country. If you commit any illegal acts, offend local sensibilities, put at risk the welfare or safety of yourself or others, or act in a manner detrimental to the Global Seekers Development Expeditions, or our local hosts or partners, you will be required to leave the work placement and country promptly, without refund and at your own expense.
7. The accommodation facilities are arranged by host partners in consultation with GSDE Country Program Coordinator and are for the use of the volunteers only.
8. GSDE is not responsible for any costs incurred by the acts or failures of anyone who provided services in connection with my participation on a GSDE volunteer program, such as delays or problems caused by airlines, hotels, transportation strikes, any organization, foreign government, or the Canadian, US or UK government; nor is GSDE responsible for any program changes or incurred costs resulting from a natural disaster;
9. GSDE is not liable for any injury or accident involving me or for the loss of personal property during my participation on a volunteer program.
10. GSDE reserves the right to request more information from me to supplement my application for a volunteer program, and to interview me in person or if not possible by phone if necessary, to determine my eligibility for a particular project.
11. GSDE reserve the right at any time in our sole discretion, without notice or liability, to deny service to you.
Cancellation Conditions
I fully understand that:
• Once GSDE has confirmed my placement, if I cancel or wish to change my placement to another project, I must notify GSDE in writing. I further understand that if said written notice of cancellation/change is received by GSDE at least 30 days prior to the program start date or preferred date of arrival as listed on my application, the program fee will be refunded less a $150 processing fee. If written notice of cancellation is received by GSDE less than 30 days prior to the program start date or preferred date of arrival as listed on my application, no refund will be given.
• Under no circumstances will GSDE refund any costs outside of the program fee, such as those related to travel, long distance phone calls, etc.

Cancellation Policy
• The application fee is refundable until 60 days before the month you are due to arrive in the project country. This is because GSDE needs to make financial commitments on your behalf prior to the program start date.
• All requests for application fee refunds must be faxed or posted to the Global Seekers Development Expeditions with your signature at the bottom. Phone calls and e-mails are not acceptable. You will be notified of Global Seekers Development Expeditions receiving your application for a refund of the application fee within 48 hours.
• The 60 days notification is taken from the month you stated on your original application form. If you postpone your trip the refund is only valid until 60 days prior to the 1st of the month you originally intended to volunteer.
• GSDE reserves the right to use feedback from volunteers for website material.
• The Global Seekers Development Expeditions is not liable for any errors or mistakes made by partner organizations.
Confirmation and Declaration
In signing the application form you confirm and declare that:
• You are in good health and do not know or suspect of any reasons that would make it unwise for you to travel overseas for volunteer placement, and agree to our contacting your doctor or medical advisor if we deem necessary.
• You are over 18 years old and have no financial or legal restrictions on leaving or entering any country.
• You have no criminal record and agree to us verifying this fact with the relevant authorities.
• You have read all of the information available on our website and/or in our information packages and understand and accept the costs, terms and conditions described.
Additional Policies
Global Seekers Development Expeditions reserves the right to refuse admission to or to expel anyone who is a danger to the environment, himself/herself or others; who exhibits gross misconduct; or who, in the opinion of Global Seekers Development Expeditions or its agents, is unable for any reason to safely or satisfactorily complete the program. In such a case, no refunds will be given to the participant. International transportation to and from the country of service is the responsibility of the participant. Global Seekers Development Expeditions contains links to other Internet websites. These links do not, in any way, constitute an endorsement or approval by GSDE of such websites. GSDE is not responsible for and makes no warranties concerning the contents of any linked sites.

Global Seekers Development Expeditions does NOT sell, rent or trade personal email, phone numbers or home addresses.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by the laws of Canada and dispute that may arise shall be determined by the courts of within this jurisdictions.
BY USING THE SERVICES, YOU FULLY AGREE TO THE TERMS SET FORTH IN THIS AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT FULLY AGREE WITH ANY TERM OR CONDITION SET FORTH IN THIS AGREEMENT, DO NOT USE THE SERVICES FOR ANY PURPOSE.
